Club Ellui and K-Idol female group, 4 Minutes

My roomate and I went to Club Ellui because 4 Minutes had a showcase there (she's a fan). Ellui is bigger compared to NB2 in Hongdae and not so overcrowded on the dancefloor. But still there were a lot of people there. It also seem to be common for people to just stand on the dancefloor even if they don't dance.

The admission was quite expensive, 30 000 KRW (ordinary price). free drink is included, which was either a shoot of liqour or a bootle of beer.

The club is in the basement of the hotel. After you paid your admission you can leave your jacket and stuff in lockers. It cost 5000 KRW. They are quite small, so on winter seasion only two people can share same locker. Just make sure you have everything with you because if you open the locker you will have to pay another 5000 KRW. Also make sure you have your receipt you got when you paid your admission, it is your free drink ticket, your wristband doesn't count. IF you want to drink some more, the price for the drinks where between 10-15000 KRW, beer 8000 KRW and soda 5000 KRW.

Smoking is allowed inside in case you're sensitive or allergic.
 
By the way, make sure you have your passport or ID-card with you. The guards checked everyone! And it didn't look like you could bargain you way in.


When you finally enter the club you pass the VIP seats and a bar, you have to pay to sit there (guard cheke your invisable stamp) and I think the price is around 100000 KRW. It's okay though to hang near the stairs. Downstairs it's also prepaid seats and two bars, and of course the dancefloor. 

The DJs (several took turns) play electronic music and kept tweaking the sound to the point that it actually got annoying. The crowd were more male than female, most likely due to 4 Minutes.

The girls entered the stage around 01:30. Me and my friend stood quite close to the stage but I had to leave and stand in the back because everyone just went crazy! I didn't wanna fall and be stepped on.

They performed two songs and then it was over! Haaha. For the fans it must have been very very disappointing because several people have line up since 22:00. Including me and my friend.

We left the club around 03:30. We're suppose to take the nightbus home (Sinchon Station) but we had no idea where it departed from, only the busnumbers, and my Wifi didn't work and it was freezing could outside, so we took a cab. It cost us 18000 KRW. Very cheap comparison to Sweden.

About dresscode, I thought you hade to be more dressed up on this club  (it's Gangnam after all) but it was fine to wear jeans and sneakers, even caps were allowed.


How we got there:
Metro Line 2 from Sinchon Station to Samseong Station Exit 7
Walk straight till you see the bus stop, take bus no 143
Get of at Cheongdam Xi Apartment (영동교입구.청담자이아파트 ) .

Any other bus that stops it's fine too )

Cheongdam Station (Line 7) is much closer though.

You see the Hotel in front of you but you have to cross the he street a few meter ahead, to be aible to get to the Hotel. There is no either chance to cross  if you keep walking on the same side were you got off. Wwe did that mistake and have to go back again, and it was like -10C, We wore skirts and thin stockings.Anyway,

when you got almost infront of the hotel. Go in the right direction and keep walking on the pavement (you'll have the hotel and a stonewall on your left side). Finally you will see the entrance on your left.
